Unpaved lot at Half Moon Pass. Tigiwon Road is rugged but most cars can make it. ROAD CLOSED Nov 22 - June 21.

Route Description

A demanding route requiring significant approach hiking. The trail climbs to Half Moon Pass before descending to East Cross Creek (the crux crossing). From there, climb the north ridge to the summit. The famous cross couloir is visible from the Bowl of Tears on the descent.

Gear & Preparation

East Cross Creek crossing can be dangerous during high water - bring trekking poles and consider going early when flow is lower. The long approach makes this a full-day commitment. Some parties backpack to Bowl of Tears.
