Lower 2WD TH in south Winfield with large parking/camping area. Lake Ann 4WD TH requires good clearance. Walking from lower adds 4 miles RT.

Route Description

A moderate route through historic mining areas in the Clear Creek drainage. The trail follows old mining roads before climbing the northwest slopes to the summit. Scenic approach with views of the Collegiate Peaks to the east.

Gear & Preparation

The road to South Winfield requires high-clearance vehicle. 4WD recommended but not always required. Historic mining ruins along the approach are interesting but stay out of old structures.
